How does Farmworld Finn's mechanical arm work? He seems to have full control over it but how? His actual arm seems to have been completely removed at the shoulder joint, so it can't be through motions from a stump like most real life prosthetics. There also doesn't seem to be any room for computer parts in it or tension wires allowing him to control it through a different limb. It just looks like metal rods attached to a shoulder.

So I never understood why the third episode of this season was called The Lion of Embers until someone told me to read the Fionna and Cake comics by Natasha Allegri amd sure enough it provided a lot of clarity. In the F&C comics Flame Prince had a a very different origin story and was raised by fire lions in the wild instead of in captivity like Flame Princess. And now the title makes sense Suddenly his characterization in the show makes a lot more sense if you think of him like lion or big cat that just kind of lives for themselves. Also I think this implies the Fionna and Cake comics are cannon to Fionna world on the show. At least the ones by Natasha Allegri since she is essentially their creator.

The last couple of episodes made the season feel worth it and more hype than it actually was It feels like a multiversal adventure to save Finn but when you think about it nothing really happened except for episode 6 where they kill Cosmic Owl to delay Finn's death, and even that was just jumping through a few dreams until CO impales himself and then gets revived anyway, literally nothing happened all season The reveal that "the heart of the forest was within you all along" was not only schmaltzy and hackneyed, but it also served to compress the "journey" into a few meaningless short dead end detours, I'm not opposed to the overall direction and plot of the season but they got there in the worst way possibleThe episodes should've had the HW seeds grow and explore each of their dimensions for a cure so it feels like we actually went somewhere, and so their sacrifice feels meaningful and thematically relevant when HW uses them to heal Finn
