I actually thought the animation for 2025 vs 2026 was goodI know a lot of people had problems with it, but I thought it was great.Even if you disagree about 2025 losing, given the power gap between the two it makes sense for 2026 to take little damage. It also put 2026 in some kind of a mentor or elder role to 2025, and let 2026 show how far he had come by defeating someone who had been down the same path as him. He wasn't just fighting 2025, he was TEACHING 2025. And I think that's very heartwarming in a way. That 2026 would take the lessons he learned and help someone who was just like him.If this weren't a Death Battle I'm sure they would have ended cordially and taught each other well. The alternate ending is weird, even if heartwarming in its own way. It was nice to see 2026 reunite with 2024, but it feels weird to have him just stand there and take that punch.I haven't played 2025's game though (but after watching this fight I think I might watch a playthrough!) so I might be missing stuff but as a big 2026 fan I thought they did 2026 justice and from what I saw they treated 2025 with the utmost respect.
