Weird sequel
I enjoyed it
A lot of late 90s to early 00s high production animation feels like a fever dream honestly.

>>151959033At the time extreme sports were the “it” thing and everyone wanted to cash in, and Disney had the advantage of owning espn so they threw it all into the Goofy movie sequel. Also these new capchas are ass

>>151959033Honestly, it feels more like an alternate universe where the first movie never happened than a true sequel.

>>151959033By all rights Extremely Goofy Movie was a fluke but it actually ended up being great, and it's hands down the best Disney "cheapquel" to the point where the production values are almost as high as the originals (the biggest notable difference being that the first movie was a musical with some absolute bangers, and the sequel has no musical numbers). And by sheer luck, Disney mastered it in high definition because the first HDTVs were appearing in homes and they wanted to both future-proof it and release it on DVD, so the image quality is far ahead of the other Disney DTV movies. They could have released it in theaters although I think they didn't want to spend that kind of money on distribution.
