For such a well-written movie, the way he was defeated is kinda underwhelming
>Po just fucking kills him>after he's completely disarmed and restrained and begging for mercyI know it was retconned into the shadow realm in the later movies, but this always got me
>>151959195the only reason Po stood even the remotest chance against Tai Lung is because the latter was mentally unhinged from the dragonscroll revelation and refused to take Po seriously the entire battle Say they lock up Tai Lung, how long until he escapes again? And this time he's actually going to take Po seriously and had a while to think over the whole dragonscroll thing and probably come to the conclusion it was a cruel trick by Shifu, that the real scroll is out there somewhere

>>151959263Honestly, would Tai Lung have even wanted to escape if he did get locked up? Before he had something keeping him going. Something he felt he was robbed of and denied after he was guided his whole life to get. Now what? Now that he knows there is no secret of the scroll or anything to it he's got nothing? I wouldn't be surprised if he was locked up again he'd just stop moving.
>>151959296As someone who used to be a Tai Lung redemptionfag, bringing him back at all was a mistake. Not every villain needs a redemption, and Tai Lung in particular didn't really need to be brought back again. His arc was over in the first film.
