The only Spider-Man I genuinely like is Miguel. Original PAD Miguel that is. Everyone else is too much of an immature moron for me. Yes, even Superior was annoying because Ock is a massive faggot of a character. His costume was great, but as a character? Foggetaboutit. Kaine's fine. Though Miguel is my GOAT. He's an actually complex and interesting character with unique aspects. The original SM2099 was a great book that encapsulated an era and was to me much more fitting to the idea of a character with spider abilities, rather than reading the continuing soap opera of a supposed super genius who fucks supermodels but who can't hold down a job and won't stop whining because of his goddamn aunt and uncle. Seriously, Parker being a heckin broke and relatable everyman never made any sense to me even as a kid. The guy's on a first name basis with tons of powerful and influential people, but won't ever make any progress in his life because of some fossil. This soured me on the character and when contrasted with Miguel, who's got a much more interesting hook and set-up, while being able to fully use the concept of his powers due to the setting. There's just no contest for me. Miguel is THE Spider-Man. Maybe if Ditko had stayed on Peter would've taken a different route, but who can say?

>>151959800>is THE Spider-Man.You can't say that when the Ditko and Romita runs exists, and even more because they're consecutive. Also, Ditko's Spider-Man had a proper and excellent conclusion in ASM 33, the only other things that needed a resolution were the Norman Osborn and Green Goblin conflict, and the Gwen Stacy and Mary Jane conflict
