I don't like cartoon girls...
>>151962707I AM A SURGEON, DR HAN
>>151962756The difference is that scene has excellent acting in flawlessly portraying an uncomfortable ugly meltdown in an appropriate context Not smashing the show to a halt for millennial therapy writing
>>151962707Zoomer Jared Leto.
Feels good being someone who didn’t buy into this show simply because even by the time it came out in 2016 I was already tired of “muh 80s nostalgia remember PIZZA HUT and NINTENDO?” slop. Now if only cartoons could also stop glorifying a decade from almost 50 years ago and stop rebooting all of the dogshit cartoons made in the 80s to sell shitty plastic figurines, we’d be golden.
>>151962889No. Not until we come up with a better decade.
>>151962707do you like comic girls?
>>151962816What current show isn't a millennial therapy session?
>>151962935You make a compelling argument but it'll take a lot of work with Millennials being lame and all
>>151962935>>151963373I'd say the 90s was already better in terms of cartoons and video games, but 80s had cooler music, movies, and aesthetics overall. The decline of monoculture (and young people going outside) is going to make it hard for any future decade to feel as significant culturally I think. Though maybe I'll be proven wrong in hindsight decades from now.
>>151963479There will be no '90s nostalgia, they don't want people to remember that between the end of the Cold War and 9/11 there was a decade of societal peace without the paranoia and division that came before and after.
>>151963373>with Millennials being lame and allZoomers are turning 30 soon. They've had more than enough time to make their mark on culture and all they have to show for it are a bunch of dyslexic YouTube video essay faggots and political grifters yelling at each other on Xitter. Don't act like your shit doesn't stink.
>>15196357490s nostalgia has been going strong since 2013.
Ah, is this the designated generation war thread?
>>151962707Is it me or is this thread awfully off-board but just because OP wrote "cartoon" on the topic, the mods don't seem to care at all?
>>151963651I may live partially under a rock but I can't think of any media that has depicted the '90s in a nostalgic fashion similar to what's been done with every previous decade.
>>151962707what are you a faggot?
>>151962889Toy cartoons get too much hate but o agree fuck all the nostalgia reboots. I have 80s exhaustion. I used to actually worship the 1980s as a teen since i HATED the 2010s but now i realize how toxic 80s nostalgia has become to media and creativity in media
>>151962707Vecna was just too based for this world
>>151963479>>151963574>>151963651>>151963733Im a 96 born zoomer and im actually pissed 90s nostalgia is so underused in media and 2000s nostalgia is practically nonexsistent. Where the fuck are all the reboots and revivals from my childhood hollywood? Wheres my MLAATR revival and bionicle reboot you fuckers?
People keep going back to the 80s and 90s because they were the last optimistic decades in recent memory. And everything afterwards has been nothing but economic and cultural stagnation. Plus the aesthetics just can't be topped.
>>151962707>having a whole ass coming out scene for a character we already knew was gay before his balls droppedWill a shit
As long as you're not into cartoon boys.
>>151964000Its awkward as fuck too, holy hellhttps://youtu.be/DH6WLCA9YNI?si=8DQC6zsWCyuy3LEL
>>151964401The best thing that came out of this scene was the aislop version of it
>>15196270710 minutes wasted in this crap, plus every other season where it was also not subtle. I could not give less of a shit.
>>151963889>Pruitt and Igoe played during his "transformation" scene.had me rolling.
>>151964758I saw that and forgot winonna rider is in this shit. I almost wanna watch it for her because shes a sexy milf. Had a crush on her since i saw beetlejuice at 14
>>151963889>>151964805>the autistic male urge to gain insane powers and fuck off to another planet away from humanity and build shit.
I always knew he liked HE-MAN a little too much
Regular Show did Heroes first
>>151964805Did they really do the dr manhatten song for the vecna character? Keep in mind i know next to nothing about vecna other then he was in an action figure set with he man that i contemplated buying a year back
>>151965228it's a song from a documentary about a government housing project gone wrong, but yeah, it's the same song that plays during Manhattan's metamorphosis in the watchman movie. Same song plays during Vecna's story
Who the fuck is Vecna?
