What do you think are the biggest problems with modern cartoons especially if you comapre it to older more superior shows like Hey Arnold As Told By Ginger The Proud Family Fillmore Class of 3000 Avatar Camp Lazlo Chowder Flapjack and more
Compared to back then Things became too streamlined and optimized that people didnt need to try as hard. Cell animation was laborious and tedious yet had a lot of charm that couldn't be authentically replicated with digital tools.Also money.
Made animation too convenient with the existence of computers.And the execs keeping creatives on too much of a tight leash
>>151965663The writing feels like it's too afraid of being offensive. I believe it's mostly due to the modern generation of cartoon directors/writers not knowing how to communicate with S&P. So their cartoon ends up being more sanitized since they're not willing to work with them, and then they later put all the blame on the media regulators for not being able to tell the gags or story they wanted to.
