Minecraft isn't a property that lends itself to adaptations. The whole point of the original game is to build your own story. Having millions of fan made animations is on brand with the series. Making an official adaptation is not.

Minecraft would be perfect for something more along the lines of an anthology series, featuring 11-minute shorts where characters go on adventures and builds without really even having any dialogue. It wouldn't have a story as much of a series of events.
