This was the best channel and it's a crime that even with a saturday morning block on NBC, it was less popular than Nick, Cartoon Network, Disney Channel, Kids WB, and 4Kids TV

I still think that Discovery Kids on NBC should have been more popular than 4Kids TV. Everything on FoxBox/4Kids TV was unwatchable garbage with shitty dubs that talk down to children. Discovery Kids was smart and clever and honestly was just as good as Nick, Disney, and Cartoon Network

All I really want is a thread about Discovery Kids. I miss that channel so damn much and it will never come back. I hate that there's hardly any commercial breaks for it on YouTube. Toon Disney, Boomerang, and Nicktoons Network have a lot more from the 2000s on YouTube, but Discovery Kids, nope

I hate that nobody on Toonzone and /co/ discussed the Discovery Kids shows. The Discovery Kids shows were smart and they were better than several crappy shows on Nick. I mean Tak and the Power of Juju and The X's were shit, Squirrel Boy and Out of Jimmy's Head sucked, and Buzz on Maggie was so meh

>When it devolved into literal toodler shit
Outside of Doki, this channel really didn't have any reason for you to tune in.

It had Tutenstein, Kenny the Shark, Time Warp Trio, Growing Up Creepie, and Grossology. Some of the best cartoons ever made. It also had some of the best live action shows for kids like Endurance, Strange Days at Blake Holsey High, Truth or Scare, Darcy's Wild Life, Bindi the Jungle Girl, Scout's Safari, Trading Spaces: Boys vs. Girls, and Mystery Hunters

We got this monday mornings at 7:30, but they changed it to 7:00 when Timon and Pumbaa was on Disney channel, I foolishly chose Timon and Pumbaa

Discovery Kids was great for the goths as well. Truth or Scare was the most gothic kids live action show ever made

Why was 4Kids TV even popular? That block was fucking garbage. Every 4Kids dub is crap and inferior to the original. Everyone talks about how the One Piece dub was abysmal, but all the 4Kids dubs sucked. Ultimate Muscle, Shaman King, One Piece, F-Zero, Kirby, Sonic, you name it, they sucked. Discovery Kids was a much better saturday morning block. The only decent show on 4Kids TV was their TMNT, which was more faithful to the comics than the 80s cartoon ever was

Splat was so cool as a kid to watch. It was instrumental in me getting into an animation career.
