Dvd chads win again.
I have never bought a single Blu-Ray.
But anon, they did a restoration like two to three years ago. It and Snow White got remastered and look even better than the DVDs. Those were probably the only Disney blurays worth getting in all of 2020
>>151972188I don't get why it's so hard to just accurately scan a film. At least release 2 versions, so the tards can have their "clean" version.
Fans should do the same thing as what Star Wars fans did with restoring the de-specialized star wars trilogy since that fat asshole George refuses to release them himself.

>>151972188Restored cartoons are the best when they are done right.
>>151972232It's expensive depending on how you do it. A quick rescan won't help matters much. You'll want to do a nice and slow rescan and stitch together as much as you can. A restoration that brings the colors back and restores as much grain as there was before requires a dedicated team that has proper references and the whole shebang. Disney can afford it but they will never make the huge investment back. That might be why they went back to restoring old Fox movies instead
>>151972188Yo wut about the 4K?
>>151972232Because the people who do it are not only not good at it but have the budget of about a six pack and a snickers bar. Disney does not give even one singular shit about their actual legacy and people have no fucking standards.
>>151972527I know they don't have to worry about deadlines and clueless executives breathing down their necks but its annoying that fans can make better releases than giant companies like a better scan of the entire Star Wars Original Trilogy than what Disney has, or have a better Dragon Ball release than what Toei and Funimation do.I hope whoever does buy Warner leaves the Warner Archive label alone.
