>Movie is allegedly praised to hell for stuff like copying Spider-Verse's animation, having the turtles acting more like juvenile teenagers, and an "acceptance" message.
>Sequel and show greenlit immediately afterwards.
>Show with them going to high school is also allegedly praised to hell.
Yet
>Movie delayed to 2027
>Show just got canned early meaning an entire year without any new TMNT media.
>Toys and merchandise are not only now at Ollies already, but Viacom is finally taking the TMNT license away from Playmates due to poor sells.
>Even the next live-action reboot has just been greenlit.
What went wrong? I thought it was supposed to have saved the franchise...

They leaned way too hard at appealing to blacks.

The turtles are way too kiddy and cutesy. It's a kid's series, but they're supposed to be a little bit cool not a pack of shrill, squeaky voiced dorky twerps.
>>
>EVERYTHING (Fat black April comes to mind) is ugly as fuck (Hey Seth, it's not the early 90s anymore. Kids find gross-out style stupid).
>Turtles behaving like screechyADD-ridden preteens who won't shut up.
>What the fuck does "acceptance" have to do with Ninja Turtles? They always try to remain as discreet as possible.
>Turtles attending high school. No comment.
>"How do you do, fellow kids"? everywhere.
>>
I miss the turtles from 2003. Why can’t they make a continuation of that like X-men 97?

The left took over TMNT and are forcing racial/trans analogues into it.

What. Lmao.

If by defend, you mean FART on her, then I would.

Most of the problems are wrapped around Seth Rogan not understanding he is old now and not perfectly in touch with what kids like.

Well the first one outsourced everything to Korea to speed things up, I'm guessing they can't do that as easily anymore since their industry exploded in popularity afterwards. Also Sony copyright protected a lot of the processes they used to make the "spider-verse style" which is probably making it more difficult to copy.
Anyway I love this movie and so does every child I know (family members). The short film before Spongebob was a huge hit and a lot of people are joking about it being the best part.
Playmate only had bad sales on the toys based on the show, the movie toys were incredibly difficult to come by. I tried to find the base turtles for my niece and it took me months to find all 4. I know a lot of people confuse their own opinions with fact on this website but the hate towards this movie seems especially egregious.

Wtf. is that really allowed, why is no artfag talking about this?. If corporate can trademark an art style why wasn't there any outcry before a.i?. So much forgien influence went those movies especially from anime and Japanese studios (land of lustrous for example).

I've only seen the first season of the show, but it is quite good. Better action and characters than Rise by a wide margin. They just didn't advertise it and botched the whole idea of it being connected to the movies.

Mutant Mayhem absolutely sucks ass though. It has little to say about the Turtles, the setting, or much of anything else. The few things it does have to say are about how Splinter is gay for a giant bug and that's supposed to be epic and hilarious.

Seth Rogan is a Jew. Not much else to say.

>I totally couldn't find the toys!
>They just sell so well, guys!
>You're all delusional if you think I'm wrong
The toys are still collecting dust on shelves. No one saw the spongebob movie, so they didn't see the short, so they care even less. By 2027 their core demo will have aged out of being the target audience for the next movie.

I meant the general style.

I liked it. I like that NYC embraced the turtles. "Let's keep it a secret!" Is a retarded plot device.
>>
>>151974849
Because all that praise and good reviews don't translate to cash. Kids don't care if the turtles are more "relatable" and adults sure as fuck don't care. That's why MM toys warmed the shelves and nobody gives a shit about the MM DLC for Sonic Crossworlds.

I thought the first movie was one of the best animated movies I'd seen in a while when it came out. I really don't get the hate boner for it. I loved the ending and what they did in this version. Black, nerdy, fat April isn't ideal but it's realistic for the modern version of NYC they are going for. I also like how modern people embraced the Turtles. People fucking love animated characters. I agree with >>151977602, who in 2025 wouldn't love it of the Turtles actually existed. All of Gen Z wants to fuck furries anyway. Was a good twist and it makes the ability for the sequel to go absolutely anywhere with the Turtles as heroes.

It's more retarded in the 87 cartoon where they move around the city in broad daylight, drive around in a turtle-branded van, fly in a turtle-branded blimp, and also everyone in the city knows them and even dresses up as them during halloween.

Needing to stay hidden makes perfect sense for the turtles. Not integrating with normal life works just fine too. They are ninja vigilantes who break the law all the time. They are the products of highly illegal secret experiments, and sometimes alien involvement. Them being secret is kinda central to their stories.

To be fair to 87, they had to earn that shit. Season 1 and 2 had a minor overarching storyline about NYC coming to accept their existence.
