Insiders have been dropping a lot of info about the movie lately, here’s a quick compilation.>Steve Rogers will return, but not as Captain America. He will wear normal clothes, wield Thor’s hammer Mjolnir, and won’t have a codename.>Peggy Carter will have a major role. This Peggy is Steve’s wife and not the Captain Carter variant that starred in the What If…? animated series.>Steve and Peggy have two children, a boy named James and a girl named Sarah, and at some point, we see them as adult superheroes with their own shields.>Doctor Doom pretends to be a hero who lost his family in an incursion and wants to save the Multiverse for most of the movie in order to manipulate the Avengers and the X-Men into battle to advance his goals.>Doom and Reed Richards are initially allies, and Doom and the Fantastic Four arrive on Earth-616 together. Reed is the one who figures out Doom is lying and exposes him, and Doom abducts Reed’s son Franklin Richards, turning the two into bitter rivals.>Doom blames Rogers to creating the incursions by creating a branch timeline to be with Peggy and wants revenge against him.>Doctor Strange betrays the Avengers by siding with Doctor Doom, believing he is the only one who can save the Multiverse.>Doom is accompanied by a masked female enforcer who is ultimately revealed to be a brainwashed Scarlet Witch.
>Jean Grey is dead in the X-Men’s universe.>Magneto steals the show and has a major fight scene against Doctor Doom.>Tobey Maguire’s Spider-Man has a major role in the movie. He has a slight beard and this time his suit will be CGI.>Deadpool and Wolverine appear in the third act to help the X-Men fight the Avengers and the Fantastic Four. Deadpool fights Reed Richards while Wolverine fights Maguire’s Spider-Man.>In addition to Maguire, Ryan Reynolds, Hugh Jackman, Chris Evans, Hayley Atwell and the previously confirmed cast members, Iman Vellani (Ms. Marvel), Hailee Steinfeld (Hawkeye), Kathryn Newton (Stature) and Gwyneth Paltrow (Pepper Potts) shot scenes for the movie.> Benedict Cumberbatch (Doctor Strange), Samuel L. Jackson (Nick Fury), Brie Larson (Captain Marvel), Teyonah Parris (Monica Rambeau), Lashana Lynch (Maria Rambeau) and Halle Berry (Storm) aren’t in the movie at the moment, but there will be reshoots in April specifically for actors who weren’t available during principal photography or couldn’t work out a deal with Marvel to appear.
