if a cartoon only lasted 13 episodes, its because no one watched it, but 20-23 episodes was the standard for a season

because the standard season length was 22, a half-season was 13, and if it did well you got 9 more for a full season

standard was set in the 20s, give or take a few, and 13 episodes was a half-season
