Ciro was presumably just holding off on any big romantic scenes because he wanted to keep them for his movie.And then the movie never happened and Rise put out a movie with a "we have to stop the Kraang from destroying the world" plot. Hell, it's possible he even intended there to be a time-traveler from the Mad Max future helping the boys, just like what Rise did in THEIR movie. Wouldn't that be a kick in the teeth, having your movie never get made and having the story get used by schmucks whose show was never as popular as yours?Moral: Don't keep kicking the can down the road, it doesn't pay off.

>>151986168Honestly I'm kinda baffled that there's no movement on the 2012 movie. I saw 2012 merch (coloring books) for sale at Hy-Vee just the other month. It was the most popular version since 2003 (with the landscape so changed it's hard to really gauge which version was more popular), and ever since 2012 ended they've just been throwing shit at the wall to see what sticks. You'd think there'd be SOME suit at Paramount going "okay yeah we'll do a one-off movie, so we'll have SOMETHING to show on Paramount Plus."
