From Season 19 onwards, they barely do any cutaways anymore and they’ve been playing it really safe with the offensive humor. I blame Disney.

They toned down the Meg abuse in recent episodes, since it was one of the main complaints from the previous seasons, as far as the cutaway gags, it's either the writers had gotten tired of it or they ran out of ideas to throw in it or prefer to do less with it since they have a little to no importance to the story plot.
