So now they live on an island of wacky robots in Canada.The purple robot is an ex-cop who quit because ACAB, and has body dysmorphia because they were transformed into a replacement (but identical) body after an accident. Both plot hooks have been dropped.The grey robot was introduced as a spooky, near-omnipotent AI who came along to solve the protagonists problems. Then Geff decided he preferred to write them as a wacky gremlin annoyance, like all his other characters. The AI used to have multiple bodies, making the "we/they" pronouns have a kind of sense, but now it's down to one body and Heph seems to be using them for a hamfisted point about preferred pronouns. There have been several strips already about what pronouns it chooses to use and how it's rude to ask about.
