growing up I was always iffy about the DCAU cartoons, like their stories felt very pretentious unlike Titans and Static Shock.years later I realized how much of a fanfic the DCAU truly was.

She'll tell the guys it's because they're challenged by her, she'll tell herself it's because of her nonconformity, but in all honesty. It's because none of them wanted to put up with how she approaches social dynamics in a manner that screams "I got bullied at 13, never got over it and have now centered my entire identity around being different and misunderstood."

In the original JL cartoon, Batman was supposed to be the guy that was skeptical about the JL creation and also supposed to be the one making sure the League was kept "honest" and Batman always made sure to point out he's just an "affliliate" member. When the League expands its size in JLU, Batman can't be the guy "outside" the circle because he's one of the seven founding members, so they brought Green Arrow and Question to be the guys that keep the JLU honest by constantly questioning them and making sure they kept their morals in their actions.Also Jeffrey Combs as Question is just a delight and his dialogue really does a good job in making him similar to Batman but also his own thing.
