>(maybe 3)
No just 2

It's funny how people pretend like they didn't universally love the first two seasons of R&M just because the rest was shit. Blatant revisionism
>>
>>152004478
season 4 was the last season to have true rick and morty adventures

You can find /pol/ threads about R&M from 2015 that are indistinguishable from reddit threads

Doesn't matter. Rick and Morty is to blame for adult cartoons looking the way they do, so I will always hold that against it.

Rick.

They weren't. It is called novelty. It ran out fast since they threw a lot of things into the fire. Multiverse is ultimate fire to burn writing potential.
>>
S4 premiere was as good as it got

First 2 seasons was good and season 3 it turned to shit.

The point of the first 2 seasons they just make up stuff and didn't take the show seriously. When they started do the backstory of the characters that's when the show started to go down hill. Old Rick and Morty was a improv show like whose line is it anyway.

Add to this the final episode of season 2 was the beginning of the downfall.

I feel like the only show that managed to balance the "serialization" aspect while remembering to still tell jokes was The Venture Brothers.

The lore isn't the issue; that's one of the few things still keeping people marginally invested in Rick and Morty. The issue is the show growing more commercialized and the writing becoming more... "structured" (see: generic). The novelty of those first few seasons is gone, and the show now feels more predictable in how it always has to hit the same marks with elaborate action setpieces and awkward attempts at replicating Roiland's style of humor, compared to how said humor came about more naturally in the past.

Oh, and the family's dynamic took a hit. Rick and Jerry are all right, but Summer's even more annoying now, the Beths still feel pointless--especially now that they've resolved their daddy issues(?)--and Morty is stagnant as a character. Forcing this show to become another long-running animated sitcom was a horrible idea.

Not "maybe 3". Just the first two and that's it.

Yes, is there a problem?

I remember when the pilot was posted on the AS website. It was revolutionary. My friends and I watched it dozens of times, showed it to so many different people who all loved it.
I went to New York for Halloween in 2015, which was after season 2 came out. So many dude bros and performative male types were dressed up like Rick, it was a disease. I knew right then and there that the show was over and lo and behold, as the series went on they removed more and more of what made it so special. I didn't watch past season 3 and the next time I heard about it was a coworker in the breakroom talking to her friend on the phone. "It's like a cartoon but then they swear and kill each other and shit and it's like no this isn't okay for kids like wow!".
The next time I heard about it was when they booted Justin.
I will probably never see a show tank its own reputation as hard as Rick and Morty did for the rest of my life

Lost interest in Season 3 with the whole focus on the divorce shit, was super pissed the whole setup in the Season 2 finale was dropped immediately.

It's wild to me that the pilot is actually the best episode in the whole show. Rick works a lot better as an unhinged drunk lunatic rather than a jaded jackass.

The later seasons did undo a lot of the bad decisions of the show:
>the smartest man in the Universe bullshit
>the Citadel of Ricks
>Jerry not being part of the family (the only person who isn't genetically predisposition to love Rick)
The problem is that it is already too late. The premise got old really fast so it had to add gayass lore to keep people's interest. Rick and Morty is made by very terrible people and it shows.

>>152004478
the first two,yes
3th was already bad,a solid 05/10
