Worth reading? Nobody really brings it up anymore.

I heard Remender goes off the deep end by the end of the book but I strongly recommend you to read it yourself
Make your own opinion

I generally like Remender and it's one of his better ones, I particularly like Wes Craig's art as well. The show was also pretty good for what little time it aired, it's kinda bullshit it only got a single season while Resident Alien the show where the only good thing about it is Alan Tudyk got four fucking seasons.

Nah

Give it a try and find out. I dropped it after only 2 volumes, it's what convinced me that Remender can't write, he has very limited thinking and creativity, I'm surprised it didn't get a full Netflix adaptations because it's exactly that type of thing Netflix makes. A shame, because I really really liked the art.

Probably because they sold the right to Syfy instead who proceeded to produce a pretty good first season then dropped it entirely since they were trying to downsize.

I really enjoyed it back in the day, got me through a rough period in my life and I was able to relate a lot to the story and some of the characters. I dropped it when a new cast made its debut, but it wasn't bad at all, I was just not vibing with it as much as before.

I'd give it a shot if I were you, the art alone is worth it.

Nice art.

I will never stop being mad that syfy fucked that up. The first season of the show was surprisingly good and a lot of frames seemed to be taken directly from the comic. The actos were all solid and despite the liberties taken with the administration of the school, it seemed to follow the comic story beats pretty faithfully. The show could have been amazing.

Yeah but I meant that it's right in the wheelhouse of typical Netflix slop so I'm surprised it wasn't adapted there.

I'll never understand motherfuckers on /co/ that want adaptations of comics where the art is better than the writing. Pants on head retarded.
>>

its good if its what youre looking for and if you enjoy 80s newwave/goth music, half of it is really boring melodrama filler though

dammit

The writing being okay to good is the best fodder for adaption and I thought the show did an admirable job creating its own visual identity while still being faithful to the look of the comic

To me, wanting adaptations means you don't really like or have respect for the source material.
>>
>>152015645
okay thanks for your opinion.
>>
>>152015645
Most adaptions suck but it's silly to dismiss them wholesale, they mostly suck because of retarded suits not really understanding or caring about the property. Sometimes I just want to see how a story might work in a different medium from a different perspective while still remaining faithful to what I enjoy about it.

I don't think I've watched any /co/ adaptation, after having read the original comic, for which I've maintained an equal fondness. I lose respect for one or the other. If there is something, I can't recall at this moment.
The two have to be fundamentally different, otherwise they're competing.
