I tend to find that the first seasons of most shows tend to be the best ones because it's when they get out the first, best ideas that came to themIt's also usually often the original visionaries are the most involved withEarly installment weirdness to me is also more endearing than bad, it's interesting seeing how they find their footing and experimentingSpongebob Season 1 is also unique because of the cel animation
Unironically there's very few episodes I hate within the first 6 seasons, I know people generally cut it off at 3 or 4 but 5-6 have lots of good episodes I think people tend to overlook.

>>152012287There's some stinkers here and there but I thought the show peaked in 3/4 and 5/6 were still peppered with good ones. Season 7 is where things get kinda boring and imo it never improves except for like briefly in Season 8/9 for a few episodes. "spongezoomers" or whatever think that the new seasons are good, but they're just kind of a bastardization of what made the original seasons what they were. It's not the same cartoon anymore. It's a cartoony slapstick, Spumco-lite mess instead of the charming, nautical, dialogue-driven show that it started off as.
