I was waiting for the reveal that Caligari was brought to earth by Steve millions of years ago. We only see Caligari emerging from a hole in the ground, and we are told that Caligari is a fungus from space. Who else do we know that is from space, and when he arrived made a very deep hole in the ground?So my assumption was that Caligari was something that Steve picked up in deep space without realizing it, and when he crashed into the Earth those spores rubbed off of him deep underground and eventually grew into Caligari. Otherwise, why make him a space fungus?
