A Baldo thread? In this economy?

I used to read reprints in a Swedish comic anthology and remember liking it quite a bit.The artwork especially is really nice. Though it did feel at times like the latino Zits.

Sorry for the DP.
I looked it up, and found out that it's a comic strip about a Mexican family in America. For what I saw it's pretty cute.
But then I discovered that the protagonist is Gracie's brother, not her. That was a bit disappointing.

So I thought it would be easy to find reference material, but it wasn't really.
I found very little. Still, am I getting her more or less correctly?
I couldn't find what her age is, and I think I may be drawing her a bit old.

Sweden has (had?) a tradition of collecting newspaper comic strips in anthology publications. In this case because the comic is ostensibly teen focused it was picked up by the comicbook Bert, marching the teen boy genre of the title character.
