Reed's powers were nerfed majorly, the Storms powers were made OP (and their powers were oddly changed to look different in that Johnny's looked more like he had an aura of fire around him rather than actually being on fire and Susan's powers looked more like random colorful energy than force fields and bubbles), and Ben's personality was nerfed. They just text him? To built up a world killer and have him literally be a pushover from a screeching mom just made everyone in that movie look unhinged.
