The main hurdle HW had to overcome this season was her trauma and communication. The moment Fionna told Finn that HW loves him, he perked up. The way he spoke about himself and her shows that he didn’t feel worthy of her affections because they struggled to properly communicate. The finale with them moving in together is the amends to that.

I was rewatching the finale and noticed most of HW’s seeds were scattered across the past universes of season 1 except the Extinct World. When HW blew up in episode 2, her parts split into 8 seeds, 6 went into Vampire World, Winter World, Baby World, Farmworld, Space World, and Water World, and we know the 7th seed went to Fionnaworld. This only leaves one seed left, which I think is a seed that landed in Extinct World. That’s definitely a plot point they’ll likely address in season 3.
