Why millennoids insists that this garbage is great, when if you take a close look at the facts, you would know that this movie is mediocre at best. Even in IMDb doesn't have a 7/10 score even, and many profesional critics considers this a Direct-to-DVD quality movie. Even doesn't have any nomination at the Annie Awards when even movies like the new Spongebob or Dog Man have at least one nomination, just the proof on how irrelevant is this meaningless and outdated slop that thankfully nobody cares about. Why millennoids and Spumfags has such a shit taste?

Tonic DNA's cost is why this went to theaters, because otherwise it would be DTV.
>>152033997
No, it did worse (except for Doraemon, Shin-Chan and Conan which those 3 always does well), and Japanese box office scores don't count in the US market (Infinity Castle doing $70 million in Asian markets with $68 million being Japan alone).

But it’s not gonna matter anyway, once the merger’s done, Netflix is never gonna let another Looney Tunes movie go to theaters again

Speaking as a millennial myself, I thought the movie was shit, but I've been on 4chan since at least '07 and know how things work here. A good portion of the threads made before the movie came out were paid shills and the rest were fags that desperately wanted the movie to be good, because it was Looney Tunes, 2D animation, Western theatrical release instead of anime, etc. and would perpetuate the idea that the movie was good for as long as possible just to get as many tickets sold possible in hopes of getting more of any of those. And once the hype died-down and there's no ticket sales to effect anything, there's going to be a lot more admissions that it was actually shit, but some people always have bad taste.

In about 10-12 years there'll be a resurgence of people saying it was an underrated classic because they saw it when they were kids and are nostalgic for it. Just like how much of /co/ now believes The Looney Tunes Show was actually good, despite how much we hated it when it came out.

Speaking of Doraemon, Nobita's New Dinosaur was the LAST good animated 2D full lenght feature that we had in theaters, the one that really encapsulates all of the magic and the endearing charm of the animated movies of the 90s, more in the vein of movies like FernGully or The Pebble and the Penguin, and it's a total feast, unlike that cynical chore garbage that was The Day The Earth Blew Up.

In Spain some of the Doraemon movies has wide releases, like the movie mentioned above. But, for some reason, people didn't made the same noise like they did with TDTEBU, despite being a much inferior movie than Nobita's New Dinosaur, and with less charm. Even the 2D animation in Nobita's New Dinosaur is superior to the TDTEBU, because that one was intended for theaters, unlike TDTEBU.

Thats good to know.
>>
>>152039758
Thanks. It's a shame that they almost never release Doraemon movies in theaters these days, in the 2000s it was almost a constant franchise in theaters at the end of the summer, but that's not anymore. Still, it's really appreciated when one of these comes out to cinemas.

It happens with many /co/ media these days, but that phenoma you talk that happened here in Spain, in a kinda particular and somehow loud way was with pic related, Shin Chan The Adult Empire Strikes Back. Not as extreme case like The Looney Tunes Show in the sense that it doesn't generated a massive hatred, but that movie was released in theaters here in the first few months of 2007, almost nobody see that one in theaters, and I remember the reactions in the early years that it was mostly "meh". It took almost ten years of that release or so, to getting people start saying that film is an underrated cult gem, and most of the people who loves that movie is what you described here for the same reasons you said (which is pretty ironic considering what the movie tries to talk about).

NTA, for curiosity, anyone here knows what were Ryan's contributions to the film? In form of storyboards or something. I know some scenes were animated by John Pomeroy or Michael Ruocco, or specific jokes by some others.
