Have any of you made the switch from trad to digital? I’m still using a pencil and paper for my original drawing, but I’ve slowly accepted the need to switch to digital inking, because the graphite/spatter clean up takes way too long. However, I ink with a brush and it’s a skill I spent a long time picking up and I’m having a hard time letting go/ figuring out how to get the same effect. End Blog.

Mostly from the 2000s when I was a young teenager, and Webcomics were still rather niche, and mostly hosted on Keenspot. I don't think I've read a whole lot of new ones I keep up like I used to, so I've been reading this thread to find fun horror ones that are far enough along.
>>152047895I make my comic with mixed media, so like you I draw all my inks traditionally. If you really enjoy the aspects of traditional inking (I personally find it much more rewarding in the creative process), I REALLY recommend a lightbox. A lightbox will eliminate the need to clean up the graphite. They're pretty cheap now and USB-C powered. You can buy some rechargeable ones but the bigger ones typically need direct power. Luckily low voltage and while LED, the light colors can typically be changed so it's much easier on your eyes. Some even come with drawing guides and magnets to keep your paper secured while you're working, which are extremely helpful!
