I've been reading some solid frog comics lately.
Sacre Dieu, comics discussion dried up.
Is Moebius the greatest artist the medium has ever seen?
>>152044146He's terrific. There's a certain magic to his work that few other artists achieve. That page is weirdly sliced up.
NBN dropping Donjon was bad, not just because we won't get more, but the humour and style of the translation was unique to whoever was on their payroll.
>>152043692Get that little dick hanging off the 'c' away from me.
>>152043692Cette BD est hautement satanique car elle met en scène l'homosexualité.
>>152043692I watched the Jackson/Spielberg movie over Christmas. It kinda Spielberg-ified the original comic, but i really liked it. And i think it got enough modern action stuff to appeal to kids today.
English language website, you stupid frog faggots
so what’s the difference between french and non-capeshit american comics?
>>152045403This >>152045382 is an American movie.
>>152045403Nique ta grand-mère pédé.
>>152045241Ça s’appelle la cédille
too much of the current production is just "I was a sad teenager and this is my FEELINGS" It's boring as fuck.
>>152045382The 3D is really offputting at first but you kind of stop noticing it after a while.
>>152045497Not a lot honestly, just like Spanish or Italian comics aren't hugely different. There's cultural differences but the specific artists/writers really matter. Like Lucky Luke gets mistaken for Italian all the time.
>>152044034pretty neat artstyle, but the story itself is mid and predictable
>>152047264I found it adapted the Herge style very well.
>>152047366The premise and the art make it worth reading. If I cared this much about story, I wouldn't read comics at all.
Last one I really liked was the Golden Age.Currently reading through the Photographer.
>>152043692For the Saint-Tropez tan?
>>152044146for me it's between him and Alberto Breccia but I lean towards Moebius because or him influence on movies/pop culture
>>152043692I've been reading Valerian and Laureline and I've enjoyed it greatly so far. I did hear the series goes kind of bad after volume 13 but I don't know if that's the popular opinion.
>>152043692>Saperlipopette Dupont et Dupond ! Ces costumes assortis vous vont à merveille !
>>152045403/co/ is for WESTERN media, not only English. As long as it's not from the sinosphere, they can be talking about slavic for all I care, it's allowed.

I've been rereading this BD pretty regularly since I first discovered it a few years ago. It has all the pulp adventure tropes I love packed into just 60 pages. Much to my delight I recently discovered the author has other stuff in English as well and there are actually a few movies based on his work. Unfortunately I didn't enjoy Adele Blanc-Sec nearly as much, although Farewell, Brindavoine and the Pazuzu story were pretty good. So now I'm back to rereading this again lol. There are still like six Adele albums that haven't been translated so I have that to look forward to at least.
>>152048430your shitty AI couldn't even get the hair right.
>>152048573I like Tardi's war comics.

>>152049245havent liked any loisel comics so far
>>152049245Volume 5 was unneeded. They could of wrapped up with the horror of Neverland forgetting and the implication that Peter was/created the killer.
