Soon, it will be the show's tenth anniversary. What went wrong?
TTG swampassing the schedule
>>152052541>What went wrong? It was centered around the rabbit instead of the cute girl
>>152052590>around the rabbitIt was centred around the cat, actually. If the rabbit and the girl were given more spotlight, it probably would have turned out better.
>>152052541Nothing, it was pure kino>>152053325Sex
>>152052541locked on boomerang of all channels
>>152053357Precisely. I'm really sad it didn't get the attention it should have.I tried to contact Jessica Borutski on Instagram several months ago, because she apparently used to reply to people who would message her about the show back when it was still being made, but I don't think she ever bothered to read my message.
>>15205254110 years already, and here I am, just finding out about this cutie.
>>152053584She’s still working on ‘The Loud House’.
>>152052647Yeah, Chester and Howard were the main focus of the show and it would have been better served with more focus on Bunnicula and Mina.
>>152052541No Bluray release.
>>152053325Oh hey, it's the eyelash edit.
>>152052541I've never been a Bunnicula guy in general, so this is only an outside observation that could easily be wrong:>too different for existing Bunnicula fans, something got changed or retconned that people were upset about>too weird for the average kid to care about it>something about scheduling, it always seemed like fans talked about it in bursts, so I just assume it was being posted in some Bomb format with gaps that are too big or something>not enough cunny for the cunnyfags>the girl animals didn't get enough screentime to pull in fanartists
>>152055881There are 2 episodes with waifus, one is very creative take on Bride of Frankenstein, the other is COMEDY GOLD.
>>152052541It's completely different from the books.
>>152056735Is it?
>>152057337Among other things, the show basically combined two dogs to make the show version of Harold; the book version is an older, more cynical dog while there's also a puppy named Howie that is much more naive and a willing stooge for Chester's crazy schemes. The books never really explicitly confirm or debunk Bunnicula being a vampire either. Mina's also a show only character; it's two boys in the books and I can't remember if they even had actual personalities or not beyond generic "boy". They definitely weren't as much fun as that goofy dork Mina.
>>152052541The extremely high satanism of the show for having VAMPIRES AKA DEMONS
>>152057337In the books, it's never explicitly confirmed whether Bunnicula is a vampire or not. Chester, who is a snobby /lit/ fag who read too much Poe, asserts that he is and spends the first book trying to warn the family and then trying to kill Bunnicula when that keeps backfiring. Harold is an old soul (and in-universe writer of the book) who balances Chester's drama.
>>152052541hbo max removing it
>>152057412THIS SHOW HAS DEMONDS INNIT
Billy and Mandy for furries
>>152052588Wasn't this also one of those Only aired in the AM on a weekday shows?
>Read this at the same time as the Mouse and the Motorcycle/Ralph S. Mouse series>This got a show and buzz>In my subconscious I see Ralph fuming about Bunnicula's success and becoming an antagonist.
>>152058954You know, I never got the chance to read it.
>>152058791In the UK, yes. In the US, I don't think they aired it at all, though I could be wrong. Some regional versions of Boomerang might still be airing reruns of Bunnicula to this day, but I do believe it didn't fare well because it was not shown in the US all that much. My heart aches for what could have been, because this was literally the only cartoon of the last decade that I truly liked. Remains my personal favourite.
>>152058954...and they were both on The ABC Weekend Specials. (the original version of Bunnicula anyway)>>152059644It aired here on CN because I remember catching the episode with the ghost gator. It's possible it was on Saturdays but in the early AM when I was having trouble getting up. I thought it was an odder time though. A lot of CN's stuff were in really off timeslots.
>>152059730I'm not sure which version of Boomerang covered my region, but it was probably the Central/Eastern Europe one. And they aired Bunnicula at almost prime time, however, I can't for the life of me remember seeing the second and third seasons there, only the first one. I believe it got some more exposure on the Latin American market, but no one cares about them.
