This is my canon ending to The Simpsons.
Shame that Bart can't have anything nice.
>>152055130What episode was this?
>>152055229Itchy and Scratchy the movie
>>152055130>simpsons movie retcons this in its opening
>>152055130So would Bart be an liberal Judge or a conservative judge?I'm guessing Lisa is supposed to be the president that puts him up for the position and forces him to push her gay liberal agenda.
>>152055255I'm sure the show has already retconned it.
>>152055130And yet he'll still never get to see the Itchy & Scratchy episode where Scratchy finally kills that damn mouse.
>>152055246They made a movie?
>>152055268that was kinda what I figured too, yeah.
>>152055294>They'll NEVER let us show THAT one again!those writers were just incredible at twisting the knife, making you care that a cartoon couldn't watch another cartoon.I like to think that nerd's rock tumbler produced some very valuable gems that he gave to bart and lisa in apology.
>>152055268bart would be the yellow clarence thomas
>>152055294Scratchy is the bad guy in that show.
Itchy's a jerk
>>152055255no that was itchy and scratchy the movie 2they never said bart couldn't watch the sequel
>>152055158It's weird cause old Simpsons would say Bart's a bad kid but he can still change whereas nuSimpsons have it cemented that no matter what, Bart's best life is serving Lisa.
>>152056602>Bart and Lisa femdom relationshipI approve.
>>152056602>whereas nuSimpsons have it cemented that no matter whatBecause Al Jean had a pathological hatred of Bart. He did everything possible to destroy the "America's Bad Boy" image he had.
>>152055130>>152055255goddamn i never thought of thatsimpsons movie confirmed worst movie ever
>>152056724>Because Al Jean had a pathological hatred of BartWhy?
>>152055130OK but you're missing out on the jokes in The Fabulous Faker Boy>>152055268Bart's the judge who does whatever a billionaire tells him to even if a different billionaire told him to do the opposite the previous weekJanet Reno literally used the Simpsons to call Clarence Thomas out over a decade ago
>>152057221>>152056724Weird like was this literally one of Simpsons biggest selling points? Bart being a bad boy and basically the core of their marketing? Honestly never got the push for Lisa when she's harder to connect with unlike bart. The average kid is much more like bart than Lisa, most of us tell ourselves we were smart kids but honestly even if you were theirs smart then theirs Lisa. Being a no fun overachiever who actively shys away from others. It's hard to make her your goat. But bart won over so many with the "F" episode. Most of us know the feeling whether you were smart or dumb of failing a test is a universal experience especially as a kid. A kid that gets As everyday is harder to relate too. A kid who is a atheist/Buddhist, a vegetarian and a tree hugger is even harder to relate too. At Lisa age I was eating kid cuisine and didn't know the difference between that and fancy food. Kids and even teens usually aren't making such advance decisions like religion on average. You are usually the religion you grew up as but Lisa is a outlier at everything and she was fine because in the past they teased and called it out. Now they rarely do Lisa never gets a bad end, she gets the boy she loves and too be president etcBart is much simpler people like pranks and hated school so does he. Kids were into rap in the 90s and 00s bart started being into hip hop. Bart was a phenomenon and honestly them pushing him out was another factor of simpson fall.
>>152058207>I can only identify with one fictional person>I must fully identify with every aspect of that personyou are pathetic
I like that Homer has a consistent interest in the Supreme Court.
>>152058481You like that Homer has a consistent interest in the Supreme Court.
>>152059436He also closely follows the consolidation of power by various ayatollae
>>152055130>Ending episode with a Sia Track
>>152057221Showrunners often hate their young white male characters even if they're the show's main selling point. Just look at Adventure Time. It's purely ideological.
>>152056602>old Simpsons would say Bart's a bad kid but he can still changeThat's not what old Simpsons says at all, though. Old Simpsons makes it clear that Bart is a good kid who struggles because he needs structure and engagement that neither of his parents can provide. All they can do is give him attention, and he finds it easier to get their attention when he's misbehaving, so that's what he does. The whole "joke" is that, like most boomers, Marge and Homer are not good parents. Homer is oblivious and entitled, coasting on the economic tailwind of his generation, and Marge is a traumatized victim of the previous generation's blatant sexism. Neither has any idea what kind of structure a child needs to actually grow up to be a complete person.
>>152055130this was such a stupid episode
>>152055130It has both been retconned and reinforced a couple of times.
>>152059631>dumb fucking bitter resentful basement virgin retard zoomer opinionsI just can't understand why human trash always has such a high opinion of itself.
>>152055130>they thought movie theaters would still exist
>>152056602Realistically, Bart would be far more successful than Lisa in the adult world. The series implies Bart is just as smart as Lisa, he just isn't great at school. He is however is more creative, sociable, humorous and risk taking next to Lisa.Bart would probably be a small but successful business owner, Lisa would be a self-aggrandizing "burnt out gifted kid" bum.
>>152060401blaming others for their place is life is their entire MO. its easier then accepting that the quality is rolling downhill.
>>152059631Boomers were great parents for the most part. Mine were great, anyway. Also, this episode is an example of Homer doing good parenting. He sticks with his punishment of not letting Bart see the movie, and it pays off in the end.
>>152056602>Bart's best life is serving Lisa.this tbqh famm
>>152058207Lisa is the "Kid who makes it" in leaving their small town and becoming accomplished AKA the original set of writers self insert. Then that self-insert nature was kept by the new writers who weren't the kids who escaped small towns and instead were born and raised as myopic upper class liberals who don't have the same self awareness needed for restraint.
>>152055130We think so too.
The writers always wanted to make Homer the star of the show, not Bart.
Lisa honestly deserves a life of mediocrity and being married to Milhouse.
>>152055130I love whenever they reference it. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-uyIll0S3NI
We have this true ending of The Simpsons now?
>>152062696they can't have been that great, you're on /co/
