Going by Isher’s own description, Kaz was always seen as very capable and strong, both physically and mentally, and always dependable and generally willing to empathize with non-humans, which are all ultra appealing to someone who has huge insecurities on finding a lover who isn’t afraid of her and her capacity to slice you hands off with a high-five. But now Kass is an Yinglet. Who has spent the last few…days (weeks?) being a very emotionally brittle, ultra-stressed mess with massive body and gender dysphoria, initially oscillating from bitterly weeping to hysterically screaming at the drop of a hat before resorting to bottling his emotions for the sake of his job and his friends. And even in the midst of all that, Kass still always has a kind word for Isher and trusts her implicitly despite the visible fact she could snap his neck like a chicken with ease.So she’s probably feeling ultra guilty that she can’t articulate how she’s not just physically frustrated that she can’t even hold her crush without treating him like an ultra delicate egg that could smash on the pavement at any time, but also emotionally guilty for being frustrated with these changes because Kass’s problems with them are exponentially worse at every conceivable angle and yet he’s still trucking through for everyone’s sake. She seems the type to put other’s problems over her own, and probably is calling herself a bad person for having these thoughts at all when Kass is having it worse than her. So it’s not one of those “love will overcome” moments, she really does have her own huge problems with how she basically has to reconcile the fact crush literally won’t be able to so much as hug her without potentially being turned into a red paste, and she hates that she has those thoughts to begin with even if it’s normal.
