>>152058849In the very early part of the 90s there was a show called Video Power. It was a show where a guy named "Johnny Arcade" reviewed and talked about video games. It was sponsored by Acclaim so he'd cover lots of Acclaim products.The show also had a cartoon called The Power Team which was sort of like Captain N but with a motley crew of characters from Acclaim games. Kwirk from Kwirk, Tyrone from Arch Rivals, Max Force from NARC, Kuros from Wizards and Warriors and Bigfoot the monster truck. The show is notable for a complete format change during the second season. It became a game show that had video game competitions. The final round had the winning team run through a maze wearing a velcro suit and they'd pick up video games and slap them on their suit. If you got the secret winning game you'd win a Neo Geo (which used a badass pitbull logo back then). It's better known than the "news magazine and cartoon" season.
