>year of our Lord 2026>ASBAR is still incomplete
>>152064600Jim will come back and finish it as soon as he wraps up H2SH.
>>152064600Real shame to be honest. It's funny how it's just balls to the wall craziness and Miller clearly just having fun yet you still se fags trying to pretend it's 100% serious and a proof that Miller lost his mind.
>>152064600Oof that art>>152064676Even as a comedy, it's a terrible comic.
>>152064600Good.
>>152064600Okay
It indeed is
>>152064600It's a crime. >>152064621Should just get a different artist at this point
>>152064676I've always seen comics on an axis of Light-Dark and Serious-Silly. This is a rare example of Dark and Silly and it's great.
>>152065926No, BAD!!
>>152064676I get the "actually it's satire!" excuse and it falls flat because Jim Lee clearly did not see it that way until maybe the Green Lantern issue towards the end. Miller's 90's collaborations that were meant to be more comedic work because the artists understood the absurdity of the writing and drew accordingly and their styles worked for what Miller was doingJim Lee just isn't willing to do the work to do expressions and humor like that so it's all this bizarre dialog coming off stock Jim Lee faces and poses. I'm sure the it will be further argued that the whole point was contrasting Jim Lee's art with the absurd writing..and ok but that doesn't make it work either.
>>152064676You really need Holy Terror to explain why Batman's the way he is. Terrorists came to Gotham and did 9/11, and Batman snaps and becomes a Super-Terrorist to kill them all. ASBaR was about the death of the Golden Age and the birth of the Silver Age. Young Batman high off his own fumes was meant to die in ASBaR, becoming the more traditional Silver Age Batman.
I really enjoyed what little there was.Don't think Miller could finish it these days; the momentum is gone and politics is too pervasive among normalfags to let people enjoy it on its own merit.
>>152071705I think Miller said he's had the other scripts written for years but they've just never been drawn.
>>152071816Well, that would actually be great. Sans executive meddling, of course.
