I've been rewatching Batman Beyond for the first time since I was a kid and it's pretty great so far. What do you think of his Rogue's Gallery? I see a lot of people complain they aren't as memorable as the classics. Is it just that BTAS and the original comics were that iconic or could they have done something to make them more memorable? I love the body horror existential horror a lot of the villains have but it kind of fucking sucks how they just seemingly die. The corpse who could control dirt, melted Inque simp, and sleazy reporter who fell to the center of the earth were my favourite so far. I'm near the end of Season 2 please tell me Blight and Inque come back.... Would it have been better if they did something like add a shitton more returning characters and legacy villains? Part of me respects the hell out of them for distancing themselves so far beyond the original so it could stand on it's own. It's great watching this now too since it's supposed to be 40 years from the original and I never rewatched BTAS either. And yeah I made a max thread she's pretty cool now.
Next time I'll just post Max's titties...
>>152069577I don’t think that’s necessary. It’s probably more that this thread was made at a time when a lot of users are probably asleep. But that’s an interesting question. Yeah, there are less recurring villains, and some of the ones that stand out most to me had memorable deaths, like the rock/magma guy from the Terrific Trio and when they brought back Mr. Freeze.Personally I’m wary of too many parallels, so if there was a villain they were setting up specifically to be the Joker to Terry’s Batman I think it would feel forced, but I’m fine with recurring villains like Inque. It makes sense that a villain like her would come back from almost anything.
Clown SexThat is all

I guess it’s time to Max post if there’s no more discussion
