>supposedly has some big name industry talent working on it
Yeah, this is never coming out.

Also, is anyone else really confused about the premise? It's apparently about "Site-19 II". The hell does that even mean? Is this the replacement Site-19 that was built after Kondraki destroyed the original one? Is this a Resurrection thing? What IS this show?

Should’ve been based on SCP-8060

That shit’s good
>>
>>152076291
File context it is an anomalous world created by a defunct animation studio unaware they were possessing paranormal technology.

In the world of SCP-8060m you’ll be tranced into a bizarre, autistic cartoon universe because you wanted to find the season finale of Societown.

If you enter, sometimes you’d get affected physically (slightly) and mentally (severly) but not in a “uwu sexy” way, you’ll get fuzz on your eyes and basically turn into a schizo, there is no transformating into something sexy. There isn’t.

Instead you’ll probably get a cartoon brain virus that calls itself Fuzznuzz and basically control you. Don’t accept any gifts.

Of course Researcher Rowan Raster and went there and met a bunch of weird characters that can be described as “slightly depressed”. There is no joy here, because they are just living their lives.

Because Rowan is not looking for the season finale but Horris and Della, he becomes Rocket Rowan to find them, instead Horris is an evil blob who wants to kill him and Della lost his humanity a long time ago. The dolphin man returns and send him back to reality.

>What IS this show?
Based on what little info there is. It's probably similar to Control. A Site-19 almost certainly enhanced by Thaumiel-Class SCPs.
>What compels you to go?
In my view this implies that the site is either newly forged or of significant value. Maybe as a rite of passage, maybe as a place that holds powerful items. Who knows? I just want more cute researchers personally.

>Oldest House ripoff
But Control was already an SCP ripoff.

Are you ready for yet another SCP production that only features the ten or so that casuals are aware of because they were in Containment Breach?

God I want to spin this fucking globe.
>>
>>152077510
Well yes. The premise of this facility screamed Oldest House to me from the get-go
>The two main characters are both dudes.
I'm hoping for side characters. It'd be a bit weird to have such a huge facility and only explore it through only two characters.
>>
>>152078017
Quite frankly, I'm already soured on this show for once again being about a bunch of OCs. Fucks sake.
>>
>>152075552
We don't know if it is a show. It's presented more like a movie. We'll learn more about the project next month.
>>

Fun fact: the guy who made Containment Breach actually went to the site to talk with the users, and it inevitably came up that only a handful of really well known SCPs were featured in the game. His response was that those articles are the most popular for a reason, and the discussion devolved from there until the Containment Breach dude basically said "fuck this, you are all overly entitled assholes and I'm done with you", a sentiment that was later embraced by the Containment Breach community, who at that point basically wanted Containment Breach to continue growing in popularity to eclipse the main site purely out of spite.
I genuinely hate most SCP media because it seems like a lot of modern SCP comics and games and the like focus on one article for their whole plot, to the point where it seems like the article itself was just written for the sake of the game/cartoon/whatever so that they could slap the letters "SCP" on for brand recognition.
>>
>>152075552
Cover up Crew is better anyways.

>basically wanted Containment Breach to continue growing in popularity to eclipse the main site purely out of spite.
Aside from everything else that's stupid about such an attitude, good fucking luck with that if you insist on only using the same small pool of skips over and over again. There are literally over 9000 SCP articles. Come on now.

I can't say with certainty so feel free to correct me, but doesn't Containment Breach already manage to somewhat eclipse SCP itself? Naturally, in sheer content it gets dwarfed by nearly 20 years of continuous writing and spinoffs, but from the perspective of public perception. CB was and still is the entryway for the setting for many, who may or may not continue to dig deeper into the setting or just leave it at that after having fun with their silly horror game.

Feels like SCP has fallen off from its heyday and is steadily becoming more obscure, not for a drop in quality (though you can argue that), but simply because it's been replaced by newer stuff, like Backrooms slop attracting all the zoomers' attention, or Project Moon presenting a tighter canon with an established narrative in the form of popular games. Meanwhile, it seems like SCP has fallen more and more into a niche of creepypasta enthusiasts or people listening to Volgun for background noise. I at least have not noticed any newer entry becoming a widespread sensation like the oldies.

Occasionally, you see some SCP product try to break out in the form of a game or show, earns some decent interest, but then it quickly fizzles out and is forgotten... if it even comes out (see OP). The Confinement series looked like it was gaining real momentum in its time, but we all know how THAT turned, out and we shall speak no more of it.

Ultimately, it feels like only Containment Breach, and to a lesser extent its fork Secret Lab, retain the quality of being the ""classics"" that people point you to when you show interest in the universe for the first time. The 'beginner's package' or whatever. It's either that, Volgun readings (who still gets good views to be fair), or... you know, 'this' kind of content.

Not really. It might seem that way, but the site itself is the source of all this, and has a constant stream of new content. The CB and tuber stuff is just louder.

>thumbnail trying to make Zena seem like some scary monster
These content farms are straight up slanderous at this point. Come the fuck on.
>>
>>152084355
>but doesn't Containment Breach already manage to somewhat eclipse SCP itself?
Certainly not as badly as it did during CB's heyday - the fact that Containment Breach got a Wikipedia article before the SCP Wiki was one of the biggest sore spots for users (and not for lack of trying - multiple attempts had been made to make a Wikipedia article for the series, but it kept getting deleted by Wikipedia mods). There was even fear that people would think the main site was just a bunch of fanfiction for Containment Breach, though thankfully that particular viewpoint never seemed to come to pass.

There's so much about that image that's upsetting. For one thing, the idiot got the Gray Sisters' number wrong. Deino, Enyo, and Pephredo are SCP-1765.

Already mentioned how the art depicts 2522 as a creepy monster woman, when Zena is a totally innocent little girl.

Why is SCP-6000 depicted with some random monster guy? The entity primarily featured in that article is a snake woman.

I love how it's specifically the movie version of Sonic smashing up SCP-173. Maximum algorithm bait.

And is that supposed to be SCP-343 getting bullied by Kratos? That is not how that works. Power scalers are the worst thing to ever happen to SCP.

Sorry, but I can't stand content farm shit.

The Dragonslayer is regularly used to combat Large-Scale Aggressors. That's like, the whole point.

>Saitama's Judgement Day
Is it just a hard rule that these content farms MUST feature One Meme Man? Every time. Honestly, the "SCP's Most INSANE Experiment" thumbnail will also be the absolute nadir for this shit.

imo it felt to me like SCP-5000 was kind of the last hurrah of the height of the general SCP popularity.
>>
>>152079692
That's the right play, the more the old and good articles get the spotlight the more the whiplash from looking at the corrupted version stops people from interacting with them.
>>
>>152086582
This happened years ago, back when the series was barely halfway through the 2000s. Many of the lesser known articles that were brought up were ones from the original run.

I feel like none of these SCP cartoons are made by the kind of insane, properly obsessive weirdo you'd want making an SCP cartoon. Know how I know? None of them have featured Spicy Crust Pizzeria, or any of the front companies. I want the truly autistic lore that people like me care about.

You know what I wish there was more of in SCP?n
Reasons for the containment procedures operating in the way that they do. Like, sometimes it can be inferred from the object descriptions, but I think it would be neat if there was more of a "discovery process" to them.
Some of the best parts of monster/supernatural entity stories, imo, are that process of working out the creature's rules, and then figuring out how to counter it.
When I was trying to write my own SCPs before giving up on the idea, the entire testing logs section for two of them was basically one big "this is how we worked out how to keep this thing contained properly, through trial and error"
>>
>>152088326
I was gonna say, that's pretty much what experiment logs are for.

This one, https://scp-wiki.wikidot.com/scp-5031, is a really good example of how you can successfully use that format to make a good story out of it.
>>
