Which direction on the right-left spectrum do I even read this? I feel like it could go either way.
Also, if feels like this bight is kind of a chubby slut, where's the cats?

Dude it only ended because the creators had a divorce

The couple divorced, so we'll never see the ending. Fuck, if only they hadn't made those extra prequel volumes. But NO. I bet that was the thing that ruined their marriage.

Don't get me wrong, I liked it, but when I turned the last page I was like, "Oh, shit, that was the end?" because I was reading the digital omnibus without ever checking where I was page-wise.

As others have said that's just never to be finished, rather than a

ending. The French are annoyingly good/bad at this though.
>>
>>152089632
Is that the ending of the whole series?

Who even is this? I remember a black girl, a redhed, and a sticc blonde were the main characters.
>>
>>152090993
Luckily Invincible prepared the reader early on for that disappointment.
>>
>>152091393
See also Melusine; after years of successful gag comics the writer left and the artist proceeded to fuck it up, leading to a hasty finale.

Same for me, but in my case it was I Hate Fairyland. I liked the ending, but I think it needed an extra two or three pages of Gert in the real world.

That is the black girl. Turns out she's a dyke in deep denial and she and the redhead friend had a falling out the sticc blonde became semi famous after joining a band and the red head fell in geniune love with some fat dude in has surprisingly wholesome relationship with him

It ends there because the authors behind the comic were a married couple who divorced shortly after this and are unlikely to ever finish the story
>>
>>152091797
I remember she was light-skinned, but not this much.

A sad ending for her (getting fat because she's lonely?) makes sense I guess as she was always the meanest one, but homo-angst is so boring.

This one made me mad.

>>

I think that's just a coloring error because she's not that light skinned in the rest of the volume from what I remember
>>

>A sad ending for her (getting fat because she's lonely?)

That's part of it. It turns out she was fat as a kid and her mom berated her over it and made her go to a fat camp for it and between the lesbian thing, her parents getting divorced her losing her friends because she was a bitch to them she started to fall back into bad habbits.

Les Nombrils. It's a French comic. The Bellybuttons in english.English. Starts out as a gag comic about two vain and dumb high school girls who befriend a homely looking blonde gi so they can make fun of her and look better in comparison. Eventually starts telling longer story arcs and the girls all gain some depth.

Seeing that guy get turned into a babbling child because "eww gay" was awful. But yeah that and also the Belgian Peter Pan comic.

I liked the art, but Jesus christ it's just so BITTER.

>Peter Pan almost get's raped
>Victorian London is over the top miserable (I mean I know it was miserable in reality but c'mon).
>Anything with Peter and his mom, again, Jesus.
>That kid casually getting eaten by the croc an Peter just casually drops the traumatized shit back in London
>Ending is everyone is just miserable, or amnesiac.

I dunno, give me Asterix anyday honestly.
>>
>>152091863
I'm kinda conflicted on it when Blanche decides not to break Antoine out of the asylum in the hopes he can be cured of the gay and they can be together (leading to him getting fucking lobotomised and turned into a drooling retard) she is essentially condemning someone she supposedly cared about suffer for the sake of her own happiness. What Blanche's mother does to her in the end is basically the same thing. It feels like the message was that Blanche lost her initial idealism and loyalty to her friends and it came back to bite her. She didn't become a literal whore but in a way, she did. Still a fuck of a place to leave Blanche's story without any real resolution for her though. And there'll never be one now, RIP Hubert.
>>
>>152092382
I lost track of that comic after the second volume, is it another case like Ogre Gods, where the author/artist died before finishing the story?
>>
>>152092436
No, it was over like 10 years before Hubert's death and I don't think there were plans for it to continue, just me being wistful.
>>
>>152092496
Ah, okay.

I guess you can also add Ogre Gods to this thread.
>>
