The Penguins of Madagascar cartoon is one of my favorite animated shows ever and the fact they qould have actually used the old characters like Dr. Blowhole and Marlene is awesome. What a missed opportunity. I'd rather them just do a movie, say the show was canon, and go from there and tie Alex, Melman, Marty and Gloria in a later film like they are doing for Shrek.
