Cement starts breaking down very quickly if it's in unideal conditions. If he sank in salt water and struggled against the restraints, Mike could be free in like a year.

Which, granted, fucking sucks, but seems like it wouldn't be that big a deal for an immortal zombie.

Shoulda sealed him in a barrel, like they did to that one immortal fuck in Baccano

Who else felt absolutely nothing while watching Gaslight District? I couldn't force myself to give a rat's ass about the characters or the plot.

Consider this:
Dying over and over again to the one thing that every human, including ones with non-functioning fear response, fears: Losing oxygen.

I'm kinda in this camp. While on the visual side it blows every other Glitch show out of the water, it didn't leave me with anything that would roll around inside the head afterwards. You would think that mafia shenanigans of a human girl and a bunch of zombies would be more attention-grabbing than following the lives of a robotic cringlelord or a neurotic jester, but alas.

I thought the setting/worldbuilding was interesting and some of the character designs were cool but the animation style hurts my eyes and it's too hyperactive (Murder Drones had the same problem with hyperactive characters who talk in cringe zoomspeak IMHO)
Also Mel is insanely goonable

Are you kidding me? It has that same dogshit "animated comic book" thing those shitty nigger Spiderman movies uses. That shit looks shit.

This
A few good character designs don't make it interesting

I think reducing it to just a few character designs is underselling it a bit too much.
I like most of the characters themselves, got a good chemistry going on.
Plot was break neck fast but I'll see where it goes. Definitely flawed though.

I feel like they mystery boxed a few too many things (big prophecy, the angle killed before he could say anything and outside of anyone else knowing about it, all the flashes of the fantasy language)
That and I just feel like the main cast are unlikable. Violent criminals that turn in their own to protect their favored child is one thing, but then having an extended gag showing how bad she is as keeping it a secret and then having them sing a stupid fucking song about how much they love throwing people in the bay with cement shoes to keep it?
I don't know why I want to tune in and keep watching any of them.

This could be it. Pilots for Murder Drones and TADC had only simple conflitcs/problems that could be seen as just some surface-level shit from the perspective of subsequent episodes. Gaslight District just dumps all of its intrigues on the viewer upon first contact.
