The fanworks competition was actually pretty impressive. Obviously some of art pieces are by less able artists than Cope, but imo even those ones are mostly trying to aim at something with the drawing? And there was an amazing variety to the submissions, I had a hard time picking who to vote for.

There was a wee bit of discussion on Unsounded’s influences last thread. Gotta say, I hadn’t realised how close the khert’s stripping and rebirthing of the soul is to the wheel of souls in the Legacy of Kain series either. There an entity feeds on all the excess memories and emotions and spits out the ‘seed’ to begin again, so it’s quite novel for Unsounded to have a whole ecosystem of critters instead, but it’s a similar sort of merry-go-round. Might the gods have initially been eating the meat of Kasslynian souls? Could that be why Ssael killed them?

I’m hoping Regina has fancy swords or something, for shock and awe. Like how Blackbeard lit tapers in his hair to look frightening. The nails in her braids and the glowing arm tattoos are pretty good already. Also now that we know the reason for the whole four letter Crescian name superstition, not having a four later name immediately improves your aura farming because you’re actually saying you have no fear of death.Based pirate queen. I hope she castrates someone on-panel.
