Modern Disney needs to realize that Aladdin is not suppose to be a representation of Iran or the other countries or events that made up 1001 nights. It is as much about Muslims as Neon Gensis is about Christianity. Or the anime Magi is about Muslims. Or as much as Skyrim relates to midevil Europe. Or the lord of the rings. They took dozens of ideas from 1000s and 1000s of years across a great stretch of land across many cultures and made up a fictional world. Agrobah is as much Iran as Arda is England. Its a fantasy world built on a collection of myths. Based on. Not representive of.
