If Netflix buys out WB is all screenwriting/visual storytelling screwed forever? I don't want Batman written like this
>>152098960They claim they're going to keep WB independently run but they also claimed that they would never have ads. They're just buying time before they can safely ruin movies.
>>152098960Either way they plan to kill it with AI, but AI slop failing could save screenwriting
>>152098960I mean this isn't exactly new. Network TV shows in the 20th century were full of this kind of thing, exposition for people who came in after the commercial ("You WHAT?!" "Let me get this straight..."), redundant dialogue for people who were doing something else while watching, etc. What's interesting about Netflix is that they insist their shows be incredibly serialized (to encourage binge-watching), which used to be associated with "smart" TV and which Netflix has now associated with dumbed-down lowest-common-denominator TV.
>>152098960Are you seriously going to sit there, and try to say you DON'T want to watch the upcoming movie "Superman's Big Gay Wedding: The Jon Kent Story"?
>>152098960>streaming is expensive>watch them while on the phoneSo they pay too much for their entertainment. Why not just hear podcasts?
>>152099518I don’t.but a Blue & Gold movie? that’s something I’d watch.
Anime and foreign series are the solution to the cell phone problem; you can't get distracted if you have to read subtitles.
>>152099743>The monkey's hand closes a finger
>>152099767I am already mentally prepared for Pooster Gold. there is nothing Netflix can do to hurt me.
>TFW you pirate all this shit you want>TFW when faggots still use streaming services>TFW no one can accept corrupt companies are monopolizing the shit out of shows
>>152099895>TFW no one can accept corrupt companies are monopolizing the shit out of showThat's always been the case, ever since television was born.
>>152099929yeah but at least back then when you bought something, you owned it.so do yourselves a favor and pirate it, and if it is worthless delete it or keep it as an example of what not to pirate.
>>152098960Prestige tv was always a joke.
>>152099895That doesn't have anything to do with the writing process.
>>152098960>Is this the end of prestige TV?I mean I don't like this either but when did it start
>>152098960
>>152099722Netflix is buying up a lot of podcasts.
>>152098960Yes.
>>152100536indirectly it'll help em improve or just sink in mediocrity.when money runs dry and desperation sets in, motherfuckers will either double down or submit to the masses.
>>152098960They also have hardware mandates if you want to film something for them.
SOUNDS LIKE RADIO DRAMAS ARE PRIMED FOR A COMEBACK, BOYOS
>>152102791YES
>>152102791>>152103541Actually what's the equivalent of kino for a purely auditory formatPhono?
