This opening is absolutely goated for how flawlessly it shows off and explains it's main protagonists in such a short time. Just from this intro we know everything we need to know about these idiots. Is there a more perfect cartoon intro?
It is good
Why does Edd faint at the end of the intro?
>>152107142Stage fright
>>152107142Anxious and easily over-stimulated due to minor autism.
>>152107001So why was the opening colored digitally
>>152107142Syncope
>>152107142Call him Double D. No one in the show really calls him Edd.
>>152107486i like that ed calls him edd sometimes
>>152107001They should bring it back but add 4 black kids, 2 asian kids, 3 hispanic kids, 2 indian kids, a blind white boy in a wheelchair, a white girl missing an arm and a gay girly boy. And get rid of the rapist kankers.
>>152107685>and a gay girly boythe show already has one of those
>>152107685Just watch Recess
>>152107001>Is there a more perfect cartoon intro?No.
>>152107001I'd say Courage the Cowardly Dog did a perfect job establishing what kind of cartoon it was from the opening alone. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7BW-r5Mf8X4
>>152107685>when your show is so dogshit this would not affect the quality in any way
>>152108695There's a difference though. Although the EEnE intro music is catchy, everything about the characters is shown through exposition. Courage literally just explains the premise of the show. It's not like it has a catchy tune or like anything is shown through the animation itself.
>>152108711>exposition*animation, i'm a retard
>>152108711Well yeah, OP wasn't asking for best theme songs. EEnE was a cartoon that valued animation and sound so the intro reflected that perfectly while establishing who the protagonists are without needing dialogue. CtCD was more or less a throwback to old horror/B-movie serials and horror shows like Twilight Zone, so a '50s-style expository intro commonly associated with those types fit the show perfectly.
>>152107001I always think back to this analysis from Comics Alliance regarding the Batman TAS intro in terms of how well it does explain everything in a stylish, immersive way.https://comicsalliance.com/ask-chris-78-why-the-batman-the-animated-series-opening-is/This part in particular:>But think about it. We know there's a car, right? And presumably we're familiar enough with cars to know that people drive them to get from one place to the next. We know this because we have cars -- normal people, like you and me. So why show us that this guy has car? Why does Batman even have a car to begin with? Because he needs one.>Whoever this person is, he can't fly. He can't run at the speed of light. If he could, he wouldn't bother with a car, no matter how sweet it might be.
>>152107142Jawbreaker withdrawal hit him harder than the other two
>>152108708Fuck you
>>152108711Dave The Barbarian is a good in between
>>152107486Rewatch, man. Eddy does sometimes, mainly in the later seasons. I don’t recall if Ed ever have.
>>152107685>gay girly boydid you even watch the show
>>152107001the school episodes were a mistake
>>152107685>And get rid of the rapist kankers. But you just added so many more characters for them to rape!>gay girly boyThey already have Jimmy.
>>152109941Ed calls him Edd occassionally.>No, Edd, IT'S MY HORSE!!
>>152107486The show is called 'Ed, Edd, n Eddy'He literally introduces himself as Edd at the end of the intro.
>>152107001Fun fact, they literally use this intro in classes for both animation and general art courses to show exactly how to quickly showcase character personalities. It's been the gold standard for the better part of a decade now.
