>Batman CANNOT kill... unless it's a little clumsy wumpsy! ;)
>>152116559Hecladed on the hedge, which was made of rubber trees, and safely bounced
>>152116559What batman opinion on the death sentence?
>>152116740I don't think he's ever been against it EXCEPT when it's used on Joker
>>152116758>Joker could die and there's a nonzero chance Batman carries his corpse bridal style in the rain with terrible distraught written all over his faceImagine a love for an evil so wicked that when it has passed and it can no longer harm anyone else you mourn itI think the worst character assassination arc has to be Red Hood. It's just too accurate.>I thought I would be the last person you'd allow him to take away.<Shut up Robin killing is easySimply put, it is brain damage.
>>152116559Good.
>>152116800Batman wants to save the joker because he's a hair's breadth from being him, and he wants to beleive that he could be saved if he went too far.
>>152116758wasn't he only against it in that instance because out of all times Joker could be getting it this time he genuinely did nothing?
What if Joker gets killed by some random mobster or cop?Would Batman be okay with it?
>>152116740>>152116758There's a Brave and the Bold comic where Batman tries to kill The Joker after he murders a entire family (including the children), but Gordon shoots Batman so he won't kill the joker, this comic came long before "The Killing Joke" so that makes it way funnier, even when Batman wants to kill the Joker someone will stop him from doing so just because the Joker is that popular
>>152116559If you accidentally kill a killer the number of accidental killers stays the same. -Batman
>>152117480The opposite, actually.
In the late 80s O'Neil let writers play fast and loose with the whole "no kill" thing. Barr was perfectly fine having Batman let criminals die when necessary, Starlin had him leave KGB Beast in a locked room. In the 90s Denny changed his mind and went all-out on "Batman would never let anyone die ever."
>>152117959He never said it
>>152116559I thought him leaving Raj Al Ghul on the train in Batman Begins was particularly stupid, but I'm a bit of a contrarian and dislike the Nolan movies.
>>152119129The no kill constraint makes batman interesting. Him havjng to expend sich tremendous amounts of extra effort to.not kill bad guys is more interesting than even him being ok with incidental deaths
I say this every time we do this thread, but if Batman killed people he’d be a serial killer as far as the FBI is concerned and then have to dodge federal agents in addition to the local constabulary. He just doesn’t want the headache, and this is a perfectly sensible and non-faggy explanation for the no-kill policy that should please all parties.
>>152119196What should he have done instead?
