What do you think of movies with Spider-verse influenced animation?I really enjoy the trend.TMNT and Puss in Boots 2 are all time classics.
>>152116975>TMNT and Puss in Boots 2 are all time classics.lollmaokekaroon
Shame no one copied the Lego Movie animation style.Would have been cool to get stop motionnstyle CG movies like it.
>>152116975The people behind Puss In Boots the last Wish claim it was inspired by Lupin and Akira (amongst other 80s anime), but I don't see it
>>152117039Pierre Perifel the director of "The Bad Guys 1 and 2" claims it was inspired by Lupin and Sherlock Hound, I can actually see it there especially Sherlock Hound
I don't like Spiderverse animation and I don't like Puss in Boots animation. The inertia is ruined, it literally feels like shit to watch. There is no reason shit made 40 years ago will outclass anything a computer animator will do for the next 200 years.Fuck art.
>>152117109Ok, crayon muncher
>>152117121Fuck you, bitch.
>>152116975I don't like it but I can't argue with it since it makes money, unlike the stop motion films they're trying to be
>>152116975The alternative is grubhub calarts slop so whatever
>>152116975I've enjoyed all of them to varying degrees, with Puss in Boots 2 and the Spider-Verse series as my favs. Interesting to note how not a single Gisnep movie is in OP's image, though
>>152117789>Interesting to note how not a single Gisnep movie is in OP's image They tripped at the finish line and have since refused to innovate again https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=TZJLtujW6FY
>>152116975I think it's kind of a bummer that one group of artists created this entire way of doing their movies and then a bunch of copy cats swooped in and immitated them. Puss in Boots 2 is a movie I really liked but that particular style didn't even really make sense for that movie.
>>152116975Innovative how?
>>152118506Yeah, the secret to success is allowing productions to develop a unique voice of their own not copy Spiderverse’s aesthetic to be safe. Spiderverse proved bold art direction is viable if it works for the movie but its not associated with that just the style.
>>152116975I like it
>>152117131No, you bitch weebfag
>>152117083Kino
>>152119279ONE MORE MONTH UNTIL MORE SONY GREATNESS
>>152116975I don't like it. I don't think anyone does. The last Hollywood cucks are just foaming at the mouth at the prospect of drawing even LESS frames.
>>152116975>>152120551I like it. It's different and new. But I'm sure it will become over saturated if it isn't starting to be already. But until then, I like the innovation.
>>152116975All kino, every last one of 'em
>>152116975I'm not huge on the 'we are going to deliberately make things choppy just so it looks like 2D animation'. I don't quite think that's the direction 3D animation should go for. That said, despite my complains, i did enjoy Puss in Boots 2 and Mitchells vs the Machines, i think they are pretty good films.

>>152117109>Fuck art.Glad you admit you're a propagandist
