I dunno if this is common knowledge or not, but Orson Welles once pitched an animated adaptation of The Little Prince to Disney. But it never got made because Orson wanted to control the production.

I watched an animated adaptation of The Little Prince as a kid sometime in the late 90s or early 2000s but I have no idea which one it was, it's one of those things I've accepted I'll probably never find. It was in English, and my best guess is that it might have been the English dub of the first few episodes of the anime adaptation, but I'm really not sure.

Space really had a whimsical feel to it.They used to air it in fucking discovery kids and it was the sole reason why i would ever tune to that channel. That said, was this based on anything besides the book? Because i sure as hell don't remember things like the sword, the darkness or the snake being in the books. Pretty KH-esque in hindsight.

They condemned people to death by tying them and letting them literally fall off the world. Also there were square fruits which I really really really wanted to eat as a kid.
