I stopped reading comics round about here. What should I check out? I like pretty much all the superheroes

Assuming you stopped around the 2010s
>Absolute Batman
>Absolute Superman
>Absolute Wonder Woman
>Immortal Hulk
>Invincible, I guess. Spawn’s cooler but a lot of people like Invincible

When did Spawn get good? I probably only read 10 issues in the 90s. I have heard good things about the others and ordered Immortal Hulk already.

Spawn never really gets legitimately good outside the cartoon, he's just a character I've always loved. The Armageddon arc and the immediate issues after (150-184) are really the only time you could say the book was close to 'good'. My personal favorite are issues 50-100, Capullo hit his stride as the artist and the book was less Spawn sulking about Wanda and more about killing bad guys

Immortal Hulk sucks.

Try whatever looks interesting then? It's a way better experience to just find stuff yourself than get stock responses that you or might not like in the end. If you read comics before then you have some creators you like, follow those.

>Prez
>Flintstones
Now that I think about it, I don't remember many DC comics of the past 10 years making a lasting impression on me.

Fair enough. I always liked the animated series so I might revisit the series
>>152127258
I have heard some say this, but most seem to like it
>>152127277
I will research these, thanks

Bro I haven't read anything in over a decade and was always an 80s/early 90s guy. Most of my favourite creators are dead or retired.
>>
>>152127372
It's mostly the same fucks from 20-30 years ago.
>>
>>152127434
Damn maybe I should stick to old shit I haven't read. I heard Alan Moore's Supreme is good.
>>
>>152127481
If you have low standards there's plenty of recent stuff you can read.

the wrong earth

>Robert Vendetti Hawkman,
add my vote to this one.

Don't listen to the faggot saying Immortal Hulk sucks, a good portion of /co/ hate it because it dared to have a transgender character and a black character express frustrations at society. It's easily the best thing Marvel's put out since the 2000s.

Alan Moore's Supreme is very good. The thing is Marvel and DC have struggled for the past decade for various reasons, Marvel mostly due to Disney forcing them to lay off a fuck-ton of editors and then not giving them the budget to have marquee writers and artists on their books so you've had a lot sludge with the occasional diamond, like Immortal Hulk. DC was kept under the thumb of a guy named Dan Didio for the majority of the last two decades, his biggest problem is that he'd have creators lay out a whole new status quo then ten minutes later go 'nah, never mind' and flip over the applecart. He thankfully got shitcanned earlier this decade but DC has recently just started to crawl out of the mire he created, mostly with the help of the Absolute line. Marvel is in a trickier place because literally everyone else can see there's some sort of major problem going on over there but the people in charge have buried their heads in the sand and gone 'nope, everything's fine'. DC has started thoroughly whooping their ass in sales for the first time literally since Marvel's inception so maybe that'll light a flame under their ass. But it'd require a pretty thorough house cleaning so who knows
