>DC is giving fans a brand-new look at one of its strangest icons with Bizarro: Year None, a newly announced four-issue limited series that digs into the origins of Superman’s famously backward counterpart.>Coming from writers Kevin Smith (Green Arrow) and Eric Carrasco (Supergirl), with art and main cover by Nick Pitarra (The Manhattan Projects), the series promises what the creators are calling the “definitive, indefinitive” take on Bizarro’s beginnings—leaning fully into the character’s off-kilter charm and contradictions.>“Me am NOT excited for new comic!” said Bizarro. “Bizarro: Year None am worst thing to happen!”>The story follows Jimmy Olsen and Perry White as they leave the familiar halls of the Daily Planet behind for a strange journey into outer space. Their adventure takes them to a bizarre dimension that looks uncannily like Metropolis—right down to its reverence for a legendary newspaper treated almost like sacred scripture. As Jimmy and Perry dig deeper, they begin to uncover the truth behind this warped world and the mysterious figure at its center. Is he simply a misguided fan of Superman? A force of pure chaos? Or something else entirely?>Smith and Carrasco aim to balance comedy, emotion, and big sci-fi ideas in a story that embraces everything fans love about Bizarro’s upside-down logic. Meanwhile, Pitarra’s bold, highly detailed art brings a grounded intensity to the surreal setting, creating a version of Bizarro’s world that feels at once familiar—and deeply unsettling.>With Bizarro: Year None, DC is turning the funhouse mirror back on Superman’s strangest double, delivering a fresh origin tale that’s equal parts ridiculous, heartfelt, and gloriously weird.

>Kevin Smithhmmm
I love Kevin smith movies but everytimes he tries a comic he fuck up big>B-but DarevilHis and Bendis run were ground zero for the trash runs like Ahmed or Soule. Also throwing babies and "GA was not raped but is just a bad husband" are not good writingBack to Bizarro, could they finally do a Venditti's Hawkman? We know SA, Emperor Joker, Forever Evil and Red Hood Bizarro are all canon(probably 90s bizarroworld too) but which one is which?I felt the best outcome would be that Bizarro dissappear after CoiE and returned during Emperor Joker, while the Red Hood one is another bizarro.
>>152152071>Kevin Smith
>Kevin Smith>4 issue series They better make sure they get all his scripts up front
Will it be produced backwards? (last issue first, pages in reverse, ect)
>>152153090that would be reverse kino, and good.
>>152152071If they weren't cowards, they should tell the story in reverse order, sort of Pax Americana
>>152152071Biz is overdue for his "A Celebration - 50 years" which they should have done, in Bizarro style, as "A Lamentation - El Kal, 59 Lonely Years" or some such other odd number, versus the standard anniversary years. If they do it next year, at 69 years, it has a different punch. >>152153090>>152153246>>152153263yeppers
Nick Pitarra, I thought that artwork was made by Frank Quitely. Looks pretty good.
>>152152923>Venditti's Hawkmanwhat this now? is his hawkman good? only read his green lantern and it was meh. i liked the new gods though.
>>152154849>Biz is overdue for his "A Celebration - 50 years" which they should have done, in Bizarro style, as "A Lamentation - El Kal, 59 Lonely Years" or some such other odd number, versus the standard anniversary years.Too clever of an idea for modern DC
>>152152927Because Jesus hates you.
>>152152071>with art and main cover by Nick Pitarraso we getting two issues and its never gonna continue?
>>152159510I would have said that from Smith aloneGood to know the artist has the same issue, I'll just file this away for 3 years
>>152152076>>152152071>Kevin SmithNo.
>>152152071Keven Smith is working on a Bizzaro 4-ish? I think it sounds good. There's always more potential to be tapped in Bizarro. Keven Smith is the sort of writer to come up with new stuff for Bizarro, whether it's sci-fi, adventure, or philosophy. If Superman can speak, say, Chinese, and some un-Super humans can speak several languages, why wouldn't Bizarro learn to speak Normal? What's stopping him?
