The whole point of volume 2 is that Sam deserves to get fucked in the end. She got bored and went out of her way to find Monica and fuck around with her until shit hit the fan. I will be fucking pissed if by the end she doesnt die (unlikely at this point) or at the very least gets caught. I've watched too much Dexter at this point to tolerante another "serial killer keeps getting away with it for stupid reasons because the writer fell in love with him". I think the only way to unfuck this situation is at least that she's on the run on volume 3 and the whole volume will be about her being more and more desperate and realizing that having too much fun with the duck was her undoing.
