What makes this show so appealing? What qualities make a show this good
>>152155926I'm not a reviewer or anything, but in my opinion >proactive main characters mainly Dib and Zim, they never have the plot happen to them, they're usually the ones pushing it and making events happen, >setting/character specific conflicts, not ones built on pushing a moral/message most conflicts (even if they have a stock set up) are closely tied to the characters goals and desires. Zim being shrunken down and going into Dibs body is specifically tied with his goal to rule the world, since he wants to delete his memory of a disc that has proof Zim is an alien. It gives Zim more definition as a character, instead of something like "I need to go into Dibs body and play around in it just because" or "I need to see why he's sick" like how most of those episodes go>art style/aesthetic stuffNot much to explain here, all the crazy angles, thick line weight, deformed yet kinda cute character designs and detailed machinery makes the show stand out a lot compared to a lot of flat ones. Also yay, a Zim thread.

pitty bump
It had lolsorandum humor via Gir which appealed to the "t3h pengu1n of d00m" crowd. To this day you still see girls wearing Gir hoodies.
>>152155926I like the music and how the world is portrayed. The messy Skool, the constant filth, poop soda, futuristic tech mixed with a familiar contemporary city. It all mixes well. Reminds me of the first Deus Ex.

>>152156562This guy pretty much got it right on the money. I say that IZ to this day is still one of the most high-quality episodic American cartoons with how impressive production quality was in just about every aspect. Too bad it was too expensive to maintain, I wish it lasted longer if only so thereād be more of its unique style and cool world.
