What I'm saying is that Claremont would have characters state stuff and how they feel instead of showing it, which is a hallmark of bad writing. This example is overused but Cyke stating Jean's feelings for her after she gets blasted by that laser gun is one such famous example of Claremont's bad writing.Having everyone state Storm is hot, exotic, etc. is just a hamfisted way of getting readers to approve of Storm when she actually was liked when she was a mentor to Kitty and her powers were cool and her over-the-top but also cool sayings when she used those powers.
