What is the point of this trope?I guess to keep these attention of toddlers?It seemed natural in Shrek to add in some more pop culture songs and parody and gags. I didn't know almost every DreamWorks film added it after that.

Which becomes a problem when you live a insulated elite lifestyle.

Dancing gets you to move your body since it's a form of exercise and you don't want your kids to grow up fat Japan does this all the time in their kids shows. Might as well make it fun and catchy
